Lego has created a version of its building bricks printed with letters and numbers from the braille alphabet, so blind and partially sighted children can learn to read as they play. Presented this week at the Sustainable Brands Conference in Paris, the Braille Bricks feature the same number of studs used for individual letters, numbers and symbols in the Braille alphabet. The bricks, which are compatible with Lego's wider collection, are also printed with standard numbers, symbols and letters. This means that teachers, friends and family members can play along.
Sheridan&Co has created the interior retail design for German high-end beauty retailer Douglas's flagship Frankfurt store, which sprawls across 5 levels. The redesigned retail space, to be renovated and launched in phases, represents a new strategy for the upmarket brand to rejuvenate its brand identity so that it is relevant to the modern consumer, as well as to create an emotionally led and immersive retail experience that allows customers to connect deeply with the products in store. Furthermore, unlike other department stores of its kind that tend to be presented as if they're a host brand to a series of other brands, the recasting of its customer journey uniquely positions Douglas as an educator and curator of some of the best beauty and grooming products on the market

A painting sent through a shredder at the moment of its auction sale has been officially confirmed as a work by street artist Banksy in its destroyed state. Pest Control, the authentication body for the anonymous street artist, has verified that the painting – now partially sliced into thin strips – is itself a new original artwork. "The new work has been granted a certificate by Pest Control, Banksy's authentication body, and has been given a new title, Love is in the Bin," reads a statement released by Sotheby's. Banksy posted a video to his Instagram account last week after one of his best-known paintings was shredded just seconds after it was sold in an auction at Sotheby's in London, confirming that the move was intentional. "A few years ago I secretly built a shredder into a painting. In case it was ever put up for auction," read the text cut between shots.
Conservative retailer Keep and Bear has launched a Lego-style kit for Donald Trump's border wall, with packaging that social media users are describing as rip-off and racist. Released just in time for the holiday season, the Build the Wall Starter Kit includes 101 pieces for constructing a tiny plastic wall, accompanied by an angry-looking Trump figurine wearing a hard hat. The plastic blocks, minifigure and packaging all bear resemblance to popular toy Lego, but were created by Keep and Bear – an online store that uses the tagline "one amendment to protect them all" and advertises a range of Trump-themed gifts. As part of a line of toys, the MAGA Building Blocks mimic the proposed wall along America's southern border that became one of Trump's biggest, and most divisive, talking points during his presidential campaign.

The bending is possible thanks to the kerfing technique. The whole chair is manufactured in a CNC router machine.”
